Chapter 5 Global vision

well first off what is global marketing? and how does it connect to Sony?

Global marketing is marketing that targets markets throughout the world.

Now how does it connect to Sony? Sony came out with a television product known as Sony Bravia LCD HDTV.

This product was however bad for buisness and a major setback.
The reason why is because alot of people in todays society watches television, Now when they sell television and they generate revenues thats positive and thats good and there executing global marketing. Now what happens when the product was damged, overheats, and at times ignite inside? these were just a few problems that came with the Bravia LCD HDTV.

Chapter 4 The Marketing Environment

First of all what is a Target Market?
A target market is defined as "a defined group that managers feel is most likely to buy a firm's product. Now in my own words a target market is individuals or a group of people that will buy a product like a customer thats interested in Sony products will specifically buy Sony products because it interests them.

marketing has several factors that causes a customer to buy; where consumers live, work and making purchasing decisions.
External environment plays a big part in consumer sales which a specialist uses environmental information to detect opportunities and threats.

Chris Lancaster, Sony and Chapter 3

Making a connection to Sony and what the first page of chapter 3 is saying, is that companies use false advertising or too close to a lie to get to sell their product. For example; the kellog company stating that ceerios lower cholesterol which is false according to them because it would be a drug. Sony just released a brand new Z series vaio laptop, and there statement is that it's "thinner, faster, and most powerful than ever." what Sony wont tell you just like any manufacturer is the problems about it. which brings me to my next point morality and buisness ethics. companies and buisnesses shouldn't sell products because it's an easy, or good way to make money. they should sell products that ensure customer satisfaction, products thats reliable, and a product that you can use for years.
